What is the definition of "supporting your club"?

For me, supporting your club spans much more than singing songs and backing the players on the pitch or the management.
A real supporter is one that takes an active role in the running of the club, on the pitch and off the pitch, financial matters and otherwise. I for one, can pin point my interest in all matters financial in football to 1998 when Rupert Murdoch had a bid for my football club accepted. You see, I did not want MY football club to fall into the hands of one individual owner. Let alone the hands of the filthy
Tory scumbag Murdoch, who at the very least would fuck with the club to such a degree that it would no longer be recognisable as my communities club.
Following the successful defeat of BSkyB, I spent many a subsequent year working with others to amass a collective stake in my football amongst my fellow football club supporters, in the hope that such a scenario could never happen again and my club remains accountable to the community to which it belongs. Unfortunately, many people who claim to support my club, had no interest in the financial matters and did not share the vision of a collective stake in my club, as a result of their ignorance and apathy, my club has now been sold to a man with a highly dubious business record, who purchased the club with $1bn of pure, unadulterated, debt. If this debt is not paid off, my football club will cease to exist. Simple as. The players I spent many a year and many a pound supporting throughout my life will ply their trade elsewhere. The supporters I have stood shoulder to shoulder with since childhood will be shopping in Ikea. A distant memory.
This thought chills me to the bone, and would any reasonable minded Manchester United supporter. This club should be a pillar of the community, it is a legacy to be passed down from generation to generation of many a family. This could all end because enough selfish people would not properly support the club. The thought that my children cannot support Manchester United is the reason I became a "businessman". This thought is the reason why I will not give this asset-stripping rapist and his numbskull offspring even a moment of my time nor a penny of my money. So before you tuck yourself in tonight, spare a thought for me, and the thousands like me, who have or are on the verge of losing a massive part of their lives because not enough people worried about "how much money the club makes/looses"
